“Tourists don’t know where they’ve been, travelers don’t know where they’re going.”
Paul Theroux

After checking in at the hotel, we went out to look for travel agencies providing tours in Baguio. I found the weather in the city very pleasant, so instead of taking a cab, having a walk is quite a pleasurable experience and who knows, you might get fond of it as well on your visit.

The funny thing about this trip of ours is we have no itinerary and just rely on wherever our feet will take us. We've always been spontaneous, enthusiastic and cheerful whenever we go out together as we would sometimes ask for directions, start-up a conversation or kid around in a polite manner with random strangers. Those are probably the reasons why we always get acquainted with people who would later become our friends. We first headed to Burnham Park to enjoy the warmth of the sun.

Next, we went to SM Baguio to have breakfast and also search within the mall if there are any travel and tourism offices. We haven't found any though. We chill out on the balcony and at the same time, what I did is look up for information online using my iPad.

We decided to get out of the mall and explore more of the city all the while thoroughly observing and hoping to find a travel agency along the way. We managed to find some at the Session Road and made our inquiries subsequently adding them to the list. Our walk ended up at The Botanical Garden.

After making a few calls to some agencies I stumbled upon online, I challenge my friend to a 6-kilometer walk from the Botanical Garden going to Mines View. Mind you, that's one of the reasons why I love to visit here. There are so many attractions a few distance away from each other and though some of them are considerably far (for some people), the setting is rather appealing where you wouldn't mind walking even if it's a long one.

With only a handful of spots to go to due to the limited amount of time, we've barely scratched the surface of what this wonderful city has to offer. After careful thought, we were able to choose and booked a tour in Baguio for six people at a particular agency, however, I will not be endorsing any at this time.

My friends from Oman and I paid a visit here and we had so much fun! You can read all about our adventures here - It's More Fun in the Philippines. I also have another write up - A Day in Baguio, where you'll find that my friends from Vietnam and I also dropped by at the same places.
